Why? Calling the president a "racist." The audio is hilarious and bizarre, 1). He contradicts himself. 2) He had to do it on the Morons in the Morning Fox and Friends.

But never fear, the Right always make money. When Beck Wanted to by Terri Shiavo from her husband(Yes, just like a whore) he didn't lose much out of it. So never fear. The right know how to keep the money coming. It's the wander of the Gagasphere, that such beautiful people like Mr. Beck get to say what they want and not pay for it.

Did You Ever Think Why Michelle Malkin Hates Michelle Obama? Michelle Malkin has enough haters following her now that they just love hearing more and more about Michelle Obama. So, it's a wonder that Mrs. Malkin is often labeling her views of Michelle Obama as: Michelle V.S. (translation of toxic assets: poorly researched items to make fast money which were loans to people who were too poor to pay them off and the greedy bastards who wrote them new it!)
Mr. Geithner, perhaps anticipating the opening market wrote a op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal Sunday, and when he unveils this plan on Monday, March 23, 2009, in reality he is fighting to keep his job. By the end of this week, he too, could be gainfully unemployed.

Welcome to the 5 million unemployed workers club, Tim!

Ultimately, I think what people are looking for in these hard times, is a scapegoat. Someone to hang all their frustration on, and politically Geithner is a excellent target. Why? Because he didn't do his own taxes right? Didn't fully disclose his plan in the first place? No, it's because the dude has no back bone. There are a lot of prissy congressional and senatorial scapegoaters that are hunting for blood. And his generally appearance of some geeky virgin right out of MIT does not really help any.

The basic idea that Treasury department has to keep the country making money is to buy up all the greedy assets and then sell them to anybody willing to take it off there hands. With the government involved there is a private-public sell off of these assets. But the catch? Oh, yah there is a catch.. The government, as well everyone else, really does not knows how much money these assets are worth. So the investment will be guaranteed by the government which means they may have to fork over more money if some of the asset don't actually make money. Sound like a plan? Perhaps not the plan the Republicans want, but since they are so busy being the “party of never say yes” at least someone seems to be doing something.

But what really bothers me about the whole thing? That Geithner has the Sword of Damocles above his head, and that hands above that sword are lining up to push it in to his vitals. I say this only to point out I would never want to be in his shoes. But it does not look good for him, mainly because of the search for the commy-under-the- bed sort of mentality that is all the rage in Washington. When I see Barney Frank lately, (who I liked for his fire and in your face attitude) I have a feeling that he thinks that AIG is not in the business of making money but becoming his personal serfs. All this atmospherics maybe causing over indulging hysterics. Who's with me in that? I can only feel sorry for the Geithner dude, and I can only hope, as the markets make money or tank, he grows some major balls by today some time.

SNAIL JOURNALISM AND SNAIL MAIL NO LONGER A MONEY MAKER:

The Rocky Mountain News could no longer make money. It died on February 27 2009. The U. S. Postal Service is hoping to early retire 150,000 workers to save money. Why? The Internet. The economy, the unemployment, but mainly the Internet.
For nearly 150 years the Rocky Mountain News has cranked out hundreds of thousands of dead trees, pulled out 4 Pulitzer Prizes, and in the end lost money, and made 230 people gainfully unemployed.

For over 234 years, the Postal service has delivered mail through out the United States and the rest of the world, but in the end is not making money. This year alone, the Postal service has lost about 2.8 billion dollars.

Is snail Journalism dead? Is snail mail dead? Not entirely. Even Fedex which had been steadily making money for the last few years, reported a 75% drop in profits shares. Why is all this important? Why is the New York times, and now Seattle Post-Intelligencer going the way of the Internet? Again it is the Internet, the economy and unemployment, but I think mainly the Internet. Do you really have to have the snail mail delivery your cell phone bill? You can use a pay system on your bank website. How your cable bill, your credit card bills, or your mortgage.
How about love letters or the the way sons and daughters send money to their family? Through the mail? With Moneygram and Western Union online now?

With economy still tanking, and unemployment heading toward 9 % nationally, it is in the interest of major newspapers and the Federally run postal service to rely on the Internet to make money.

I thought I would just point that out.

And, as I thought about this, it occurred to me that one way people are making money online now is email marketing.
But be warned Spam need not apply here. Direct marketing Association reports that email based marketing will get you $43.52 dollars in return investment. And, although down from last year, companies are still making money from email marketing.

WHO IS MAKING THE MONEY?

According to Merkle database marketing agency, the the winners this year is Permission email. Merkle estimates that 55% promotional email is never even opened. This is a dilemma. But only for for those marketeers so desperate to make money. Clearly the winners are those companies that know who they are marketing to. It is knowing the customer, not the random crap that you get in email that makes the real money.

--Courteous Navigator

ATLAS SHRUGGED, TEA PARTIES, BERNIE MADOFF: COMPASSION IS FOR SOCIALISTS?

Ayn Rand's prophetic 1957 novel Atlas Shrugged, has gained quite a bit of attention lately. With the "gojohngalt" site and the very hot Filipina American blogger Michelle Milken, Ayn Rand's book has reemerged as a very important conservative talking point. Wikipedia describes it as "the role of the mind in man's life and, consequently, presentation of a new morality: the morality of rational self-interest."

And the plot basically is very dramatic, that any one could find appealing. Again, Wikipedia.

The main crux of the book surrounds the decision of the "men of the mind" to go on strike, refusing to contribute their inventions, art, business leadership, scientific research, or new ideas of any kind to the rest of the world. Each man of ability eventually reasons (or is convinced) that society hampers him with unnecessary, burdensome regulations and undervalues his contributions to the world, confiscating the profits and sullying the reputations he has rightfully earned.

And while conservative pundits and radio peronalities make money off this there is another element at work: various conservative groups have formed "tea parties" as a way to protest the policies of the Obama administration.

It is here that if, in fact, you are 1). unemployed. 2) looking for a job on your own and need no hand outs, you may be wondering would in the world is going on! All these protests and talking points seem to have disconnection. Are these protesters of the current administration really talking about the threat of socialism and how they helping the unemployed workers who are willing to work?

Ayn Rand's personal and philosophical believes that emerge in this book, come from the knowledge and personal hardships of living in a Socialistic and totalitarian society. Yet, her views are so over compensating for what she saw that transferring them to a American society seems rather harsh and cruel in the end. This total believe in pure capitalism without any sympathy for the down-trodden may attract such people like the lovely Michelle Milken(although I believe she suffers from a racial identity crisis believing herself to be a anger white Conservative), it seems to me that the reason so many have brought up Atlas Shrugged, is the same reason I brought it up.

To make money.

Of course Michelle Milken ranks far better than me. And writing on Atlas
Shrugged keeps her high on the search engine. And on GoJohn Galt site(Galt referring to the pure capitalist protagonist of the story), not only attracting rather shady and egocentric and potential racists, he is actively seeking and trying to make money--like me. Note the Amazon links he has on his page. You think he doesn't get any money for referring to that book?

What disturbs me about the whole concept is the over compensation factor. Over inflating some misguided belief that Obama is turning America in to a socialist state. I would be willing to believe it, if i saw it happening.

Another important point is this: If you believe in the basic purism of this book's philosophy, there is no room for altruism. No room for helping others. Is that really what America is about.? A capitalism so pure it forgets the basic principle of culture of caring for those around you? Is this the conservative mantra now? Those that seem to speak for the rich or the conservative rich, are they speaking for everyone that is wealthy, or are they so alienating themselves from the hard working blue collar types or even the middle class?

Would not Bernie Maddoff be the 'Galt' if he had not been caught? Could he not be a poster boy for the pure capitalist system that some seem to want?

And now the economy sinks us lower. Those like myself that have never taken a hand out, and always worked for my food, what of us in this pure capitalist world? We listen, and we watch as some wealthy and employed whine, and all the while they do not see us. They alienate us.

--Courteous Navigator

Obamaton Or Just Wanna Make Money?

Apparently, I am a Obamaton. And I thought I was on blogspot trying to make money.(Sadly this is something that has not yet happened, no surprise.)

Okay, before I get into the subject of making money online, which is the exact reason I am here, let's digress to a definition: From the Urban dictionary:

"fan" (Note: Fans =/= Supporters) who is in such a state of being because of Obama's eloquence; one who hasn't even bothered to fairly compare his platform with other candidates' platforms. Pun on the word "automaton".

This was actually posted on the Urban Dictionary site on February 4, by Johnathan Andrew. It appears to be a rather new term haunting cyberspace. Yet, I had found it hilarious. Not only because someone thought I was one of THEM, but also because the term has it's place in this society.

Here is what happened. Just like any body trying to make money online, I was doing my daily backlink building. I came across a interesting article. I posted a comment here:

Now, I tend to write long posts. This one was, perhaps, a bit too one sided? Whatever the case, I ended up getting dumped on. The article,Views on the News by a very talented conservative writer, was a long affair. In some cases, well argued. However, I thought it was inevitable colored with way too many stereo-types and sound bites that conservatives often use to place blame on others(meaning liberals), thus making them impervious to any concept of objectivity. Now, I am objective enough to say that liberals have taken on this curious and poor argument style of rationalization. However, this is my opinion, and I wish for you look at the article yourself.

So here I am trying to build my pathetic little money thing, when I crossed swords with fellow posters. I made what I thought was a valid argument. After all, the Stimulus bill was basically an attempt to put money in the hands of the average American. Well? maybe. The jury is still out on that one. The author of this piece insinuates that the markets "going south" as he puts it, is totally the fault of this president. Mmm, maybe? Or maybe it's because we are in a Recession. Here is a snippet from my post:

And talking about the Stock market? I mean, sorry man, liberal or conservative, this argument really does not seem credible. I mean, are we to live and die by this market? The Dow Jones in Dec 2007 to Jan. 21,2009 when Obama became president, already shed about 5,000 to 6,000 points. Unless somehow you are able to blame him for that? I mean I am not exactly a liberal, but I am willing to put whole blame on either Bush or Obama.

Now I thought that was a pretty lucid argument to make. No, I guess not. I forgot one thing about human nature. If your views are so strong in opposition, nothing one says can be ever construed as a valid argument.

This is what I got in response;

Your lack of knowledge of how markets like the stock market work is evident and you are, in my opinion, an Obamaton trying desperately to make it sound like you are not an Obamaton trying to make excuses for markets that are heading south because of Obama’s long term policy plans.

Is this the end of the moderate view point? Must I be pigeon-holed. All they had to do was click on my site and see I was trying to make money online(all be it naively so).

Okay, let's regroup. My "babbling" is well defined and I am totally owned by someone that 1) clearly does not have any moderate and compromising views on politics, and 2) So desperate to find an enemy to latch on to they most coin words to put them in their place.

Classification: Obamaton.

What is lost here?

I am not a student of history, but it safe to say that politics in this country has been deeply poisoned by such lack of moderate communication. Having said that, I see a deeper dilemma. A nation that is suffering from a very deep recession, two wars, and sinking employment rate, I see this inability to compromise in tone as a schism that will tear American apart. When, it seems to me we need unity more than ever. Art of compromise, dead? Let us hope not.

-Courteous Navigator

The United States Stimulus Bill Goes Live: Could That Mean More Money For You?

Now there is a Government site that apparently monitors the Stimulus money, complete with a timeline. You can watch over time as the Stimulus money is being eaten up. Even by the Governors of Louisiana and South Carolina, who apparently didn't want all the freebies from the Government in the first place. Here is an introduction.

Welcome to Recovery.gov

Recovery.gov is a website that lets you, the taxpayer, figure out where the money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is going. There are going to be a few different ways to search for information. The money is being distributed by Federal agencies, and soon you'll be able to see where it's going -- to which states, to which congressional districts, even to which Federal contractors. As soon as we are able to, we'll display that information visually in maps, charts, and graphics.

You can see if you are able to get your hands on any of this free money.[If you want to call free.]

http://www.recovery.gov/

Also, each state may have it's own link. So type in www.recovery.gov/ your state.com. Since this Stimulus bill is barely a week old, don't expect miracle money. But it for the smaller states it should pound some money into this recessionary economy. I say "should", because as far as the Democrats and Republicans are concerned, they really don't know if this will put jobs into American hands.

-Courteous Navigator.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='recession. President Obama is set to sign it on Tuesday, Feburary 17. You can see a summery of this report here:

I suggest you take a good look at the summery of this Stimulus Bill, as well as the whole text. You have about a week and a half?

Now, I am taking this from the Democratic website, so any summery you may see could contain some bias. I say "may" to give you the opportunty to think objectively.

Now, this stimulus bill is hot, real hot. It's a political gold mine for the Democrats if this nation rises up out of the recession and Americans are put to work. And if it sinks, Republicans will shine once more. The reason I say all this? My basic concern is that this Government will not come together. With Judd Gregg making back tracks away from the commerce secretary position, the bipartisan spirit this administration was aiming for, is slowly (and seemly) eroding.

I could see what the President was trying to do. He wanted as many aboard this ship as possible. This would bring some needed confidence in our government which had been sorely needed. Judd Gregg for whatever reason(couldn't handle all that liberal spending?), it just symbolizes the problems this Administration faces.

What I hoped for was pretty simple: That a common goal for all parties in Washington: A) To alleviate the burdens that many unemployed Americans now face. And, B) Soften the blow of those eminent unemployed in 2009 through 2010.

So, only time will tell if this Stimulus bill helps the unemployed, and even more importantly those long term unemployed waiting their chance. So take a look at this bill before all the blogger and pundents decide for you, either for or against it, it is here. A grand folly from Washington or a sweet Valentine to us all.

Courteous Navigator.

UNEMPLOYMENT AGENCIES: A STIMULUS FOR YOU?

I know I am straying from the subject of making money online. But this is also a blog about unemployment and all that it encompasses. While I wait patiently for my few websites to make any money at all, and learning as I go, I am, you, perhaps, trying to survive in this rapidly declining environment.

Yesterday, While the United states government fought over a 789 billion dollar stimulus bill, I sat in a make shift Employment agency office filling out a application that at least two hundred others did in this very offce.

Next to me sat a one armed man.

Next to him sat another man. He had both his limbs. I have no doubt that both men had what I never really did. A higher education. And has that happened to you? A dud walks into a Employment Agency and there you are struggling with yet another application while this guy talks to an agency associate and tells them he is a electronic engineer.

"And what kind of job are you looking for?" the associate asked the well educated man.

"Anything." he says.

Sad. Not for him. But guys like me. I have been living on the fringes of this country, relying on the minor blue collar jobs that come along. What luck do I have when the well educated are looking for my jobs?

But more importantly, what am I to Employment Agencies? Not much, when they got so many unemployed rolling in. The newly laid off. The long-termed unemployed. I use to love Employment agencies. Some use to just get me a job with out even a interview with the company. Just plug me in! Some were excellent opportunities, so not now. But because of the climate, the unemployment, the economic nose-dive, I have to stand in line. It is the Client that the Employment Agency will gravitate to. We are just packaged meat. Raw hamburger to be shipped out.

Some of us smell fresher then the others.

But it is not for us to decide where we can be employed. It is the client that now holds the winning hand.

My best,

Courteous Navigator

No Stimulus?: Americans for prosperity

A organization calling itself Americans For Prosperity has stolen some of President Obama's stimulus thunder. And whileTreasure Secretary Tim Geithner's long awaited outline of what is now called Comprehensive Financial Stability Plan that turned Tuesday's stock market into hamburger helper, this organization rose up and clicks to their website made it crash.

Now if you are one of the currently unemployed 10 or 11 million Americans, or one of the 598,000 Americans tossed onto the street in January of 2009, well how can a logo saying "No Stimulus!" go over well with you?

But let's be fair. I love capitalism. I have tried it myself and liked it. Yet could they be rather "Prosperous" Americans that had never experienced real down-and-out poverty? Or even worse: never had a moment in their lives where they actually lived check to check; where unemployment only happens to one of their own workers. Mmm. Well, I am not one to be too judgemental--actually I can be judgemental. But let's look at what they are saying.

Who Are These People?

This Wikipedia tells us:[Americans For Prosperity]. . . is a non-partisan Washington D.C.-based political advocacy group which describes itself on its Web site as "... an organization of grassroots leaders who engage citizens in the name of limited government and free markets on the local, state and federal levels."

Well, I am not saying I am right that, A.)they are rich white people worried that they will be some how crushed by the poverty of the lower orders. B) They are a residue of the George Bush era, whose only requirement is total lack of empathy. Now I am being a little harsh. Well, who is the mover and shaker involved in this organization?

Tim Phillips: President. Has a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech University. Helped to co-found Century Strategies with Ralph Reed, political and corporate consulting firm that, according to National Journal, "has raked in millions of dollars by mounting grassroots lobbying drives and other campaigns. . . " And perhaps in passing it is worth remembering who campaigned for Enron to reduce any backing for energy regulation.

By itself, this doesn't mean that Tim Philips and the Americans for Prosperity is insincere. But the campaign feel of this movement is not based on how to help the Americans that are now unemployed but how to keep the rich people. . .prosperous? Where on their site do they talk about people like me? I have been unemployed for 4 months. For man that has been working since I was a teenager, I do not need political whip lash coming from an organization that seems to care only for conservative employed Americans. If this group had reached out with more even handed view of of the Stimulus Bill, I would look at them with a more favorable eye. How is this organization helping someone like me? I saw their talking points. And they take the most obscure points of the bill and splash it on.

Yet they failed to mention one thing. Their is NO bill yet. It still has to be compromised on by both houses. It appears to me, in my one man's opinion that they are relying on the gullibility of Americans. Now I consider myself an objective resident of the United States and because of that I will not point out the suit-tie-members of this organization. But I ask you which one among them has lost a job. Which among those that run this organization would benefit from a stimulus package? Why should they support something that would make no difference in their private economic well being? It comes down to a organization that has made the woe of America a political football. Tell me, when you see the pictures of these suit-and-tie protesters, tell me if you think any of these men or women are unemployed. However, look at the site yourself. Please decide for your self. Even sign the petition if you want. Here is the website

I go even further. Here is a sight that explains what is in the Stimulus Bill. Let's go to a more mundane site with no political after taste, again Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Recovery_and_Reinvestment_Act_of_2009

The reason I ask you to go there is not to trust what I say. But to think for your self. I am one man: one opinion. That is it. I wish others could do the same.

My best, Courteous Navigator

Just another way of making money?

At first glance, Xomba is not much to look at. Well, ugly really. And I have mixed feelings about presenting this website. Mixed because I am still experimenting with it. And yes trying to promote it at the same time so I can make money online. Strange sort of bipolar attitude I have. Any, I present it too you because it does give advice for newbies like myself. Here is just a clip of what they consider themselves to be.

Launched in August 2006, Xomba's mission is to create a thriving community of members who earn profit from posting articles(Xombytes) and social bookmarks(Xomblurbs). Combining key elements from social networking sites, weblogs and contextual targeted advertising we have created a community that is a nurturing environment for anyone willing to post and share their own ideas. It is our hope that our members will develop into successful contributors to the publishing industry.

You believe this? Could they make you money online? There is so much spam on that site it makes my old computer huccup. It's sort of annoying. It is up to you to decide. It does provide you a place to store backlinks(bookmarks) and small blogs to further sites you are working on or write your knowledge up in a tight blog. You can add it into your adsense and make money that way. They also provide a weird Twitterish messaging with other people. There is another reason I bring this site up. Don't be fooled by it's simple-looking homepage. It's net worth is over 700,000. The site pulls in over 9oo USD a day. So it is worth looking at what Xomba is doing, just to get your own ideas on how to make money online.

                                                                            My best, Courteous navigator

The Beginning Of The Obama Era

Desperate Times?

How do you feel now in 2009? Are you a Internet marketeer, and making money online is not as profitable? Are you working at home and trying to make money online and the yields are not as lucrative?
Think about it. Since the we slipped into a recession in 2007, 4.6 million people in the United States lost their jobs. Long term unemployment is here to stay. According to Bureau of Labor and Statistics, at least 2 million individuals are taking advantage of the Emergency Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2008. With so many people making money of the government, and with so many people exhausting their regular Unemployment Compensation insurance, it can be argued that we have a bottomless pit as far as the economy is concern.

Are You Like Me

I am the basic unemployed soul. I was laid off and in two and a half months my unemployment runs out. I have been a steady worker for 25 years. And I find it hard to find a job when the people also looking for a job right alone with you are better educated or have more work experience. So what does that mean? This is why I am trying to make money online.

No job + unlikely to find one soon + poorly educated = Desperation.

Lipstick Effect Theory, Ways To Make Money And Save It, Too

Having spent many months discovering ways to make money online, and not totally succeeding at this, I have, though, learned to look at the economic side of this country in a new light. What we known: A whole lot of people not making money at all. A whole lot of people, in fact are unemployed. I Look at unemployment figures: I started noticing it three months ago when things starting really tanking. As national average of 7.2 % unemployment, people, like myself, have been trying to cut corners. This is where the general theory of the “Lipstick Effect”comes in. It holds that in hard economic times, when large luxury items are not obtainable, smaller more affordable luxuries become more desirable, such as lipstick. Although it may hold for many items, especially if you are trying to make money online, such small luxuries as this could be a good source of income.
Originally, the Lipstick Effect had been coined in the first Great Depression, a period where cosmetics generally took off. Now I am not saying to go out and invest in cosmetic companies. Perhaps starting your own online cosmetic store as a way to make money online. The market for cosmetic companies seems sort of saturated at the moment. And the quarterly earnings of some companies have suffered along with everyone else this year.

Now For The Real Good News

Saving money online by the grace of the Class Action Suit. This suit, which starts this Tuesday January 20, just in time for the Presidential inauguration, will be valid for 7 days. In that time period any one who bought cosmetic items in the United States between 1993-2003 may get 1 Free cosmetic from various stores and cosmetic companies.
Stores included in this class action suit: Boston Store-Bloomingdale’s-Nordstrom-Saks Fifth Avenue-Macy’s, to name a few.
Some cosmetic companies sighted in this suit are huge: Chanel, Inc-Estée Lauder and the list goes on. It is not so. I simply wish to stress how important it is for those of you that are on Unemployment Compensation to do some homework. Or just read on and I will offer up a few things to think of.
When it comes to Unemployment Compensation, the place you live can be a bust or boon.

Take Massachusetts, 2007 and 2008 saw a steady migration of the out-of-State unemployed coming to Massachusetts to apply for Unemployment Compensation. And why? $778. That is the max that can be taken out per week when claiming your weekly benefits. Look at the max that Florida has. $275 can be claimed per week. It matters not how much you made before you were unemployed. You could have been pulling $800 a week, you still get max of $275. And this this Florida! Is there any wonder that this State is hemorrhaging mortgages?

Unfortunately for anyone considering hitting the road to Massachusetts, the State already suffering from 5.5% unemployment in October, saw it rise to 5.9% in November, will no longer take out-of-State claims. Sorry. But I see it as totally impossible to get by with Mickey Mouse math that Florida uses. A basic one bed-room apartment on the down end in Florida usually runs about $650.00/month.(I know this because I lived there) Good luck if you are thrust into unemployment there.

The Good thing About Unemployment Compensation.

Well, I think the only thing good about Unemployment Compensation is not actually being on it. However, there is one good thing. Normally, the average length of benefits is about 26 weeks. It varies from State to State. However, our present rather dire times created something interesting. On November 21, 2008. President George Bush signed the the Unemployment Extension Act of 2008. For those of you confused about this, here is what it means: you get a extension of another 7 additional weeks of coverage plus if your State is at 6.0% Unemployment you get an extra 13 weeks. So make sure you look at the State in which you are claiming.

A Parting Shot

I sincerely believe that unemployment is becoming a political football that could divide us. I have been reading blogs that seem to be passing judgment on something that has not even been implemented yet. That is the President-elect Obama's economic stimulus plan. Of course, it looks like a true juggernaut. Estimates are at $775 billion! Seems daunting, but so does a unemployment rate of 8 or 9 percent. It may end up that it will go far into the “T” range: 1 Trillion!

This has caused quite a number of groans and grumblings from bloggers. Notably, those that are
using this plan as way to criticizes the in coming president. It's scope has been compared to FDR'S New Deal. Bloggers and pundits were all over that. Many, apparently who never actually studied history, complained that it was world war II that solved the Great Depression; thereby trashing FDR and Obama all at once. However, look at the unemployment rate in 1933. It was at an astronomical 24.9 % But by 1940, it was cut in half to 14.6.% Eventually FDR's plan could have worked.(That is me speculating). World War II had just quickened the process out of the depression. So you see, these poorly thought out blogs, put together quickly to turn heads, to justify a political point given with generalizations that Americans are so use to, only lowers us all. What bothers me is this:
Why make such a heart rending subject as unemployment a political hot object? Could it be that what we are seeing is a war between those the never been unemployed and those that have been and remain unemployed?
I think the Great Depression and even to a much larger extent, WWII , had brought Americans together. Yet, bloggers, who are so use to division can not help split us apart with empty self-righteous words. Until next time.
Take care,
Courteous Navigator

TO THE UNEMPLOYED, ADRIANNA HUFFINGTON EXPLAINS WHAT TO DO: BLOGGING

In her December 1st blog in the Huffington Report, The Meltdown Will Be Blogged, Adrianna Huffington explains what the unemployed can do. Blog. I wish i thought of that.
I mean, yah, 1.) I am unemployed 2.) I am blogging.

Now, I am not setting out to bash, Adrianna Huffington. There are plenty of lackluster right-leaning egocentrics that are effective in this way. Yet she is among many that may write what the unemployed should do, not thinking that it was such an obvious statement, most bloggers that actually blog must be rolling their eyes. How much time did she put into thinking this out? And what is that plug for book on blogging in the end of it. Talking of the poor then plugging a book at the end of a blog. Mmm. It sounds like something I would do. I don't begrudge her. She is, like myself, a progressive something or other.
I can't help thinking that making money online can be done by reading those that actually do it and do it well. A "No, duh, blog on blogging helps who? Why didn't she motivate people into making money by blogging. I mean look at her Huffington Report. It has ads all over. I would die for that sort of traffic she is getting.

It's at this point I must say part of the reason I am here is to make money online by blogging. NO DUH! I am sure anybody reading this can see it so obviously. But I don't pretend I will make much money online doing this. Perhaps in the back of my mind, I just love to write. This statement is true enough but it does not pay the bills.

WHO CAN NOT HELP YOU MAKE MONEY ON LINE

First let me start with the obvious, Me. As I said in my last blog, I am a novice. A true neophyte trying to find his sad, pathetic way in a blogosphere that contains millions of blogs. Well, lets start with those that say they can help you but really are blogging to make money. Never, ever pay for information about quick traffic with blogging. It is a mistake. Go with your instinct.

I HAVE ONLY ONE SUGGESTION: GIZZLY.

I am all about sharing in this blog. I don't see anything promoting someone that looks like they know what they are doing. Now, this is just a review of a blogger. He is honest in this way: he is there to make money. Period. Going to his site you will find other sites were he actually provides good details on how to make money online. I am impression enough to write about this blog because this dude can write! No matter your moral fibre you have to respect this man's abilities to make an effective blog.

LAST MAN STANDING: Before I Leave.

January 20, 2009 marks the last day of President George W. Bush. I think some in this administration will consider his presidency bittersweet? Where was the sweet part?
I think his last day will be symbolic in one important way. The first man in 2009 to lose his job. It was too bad that he could not be fired. How long would I last in a factory if I got a 22% approval rating from my boss? Being fired might have given him some degree of empathy. But perhaps that is too much to ask.

-courteous navigator.

MAKING MONEY AND UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION

SO YOU'RE ON UNEMPLOYMENT: COULD HAPPINESS BE FOUND WITH MAKING MONEY ONLINE?

I think so. Remember now, I am just starting out. So, even to consider making money online, I had to go through the soul searching dreadnought that is unemployment. First, I never thought I would stoop to taking unemployment compensation. UC was for losers! It was for the chronically unemployed. Never me.

I was wrong.

More. I was wrong to think so little of those people who were on it. And secondly, in dawned on me why I was wrong. How many countries actually have UC? According to Unemployment Compensation Throughout the world, only 70 countries have such insurance for their works. Do you think Nigeria or the Philippines is on that list? Forget it. It reminds us how lucky we are. There might come a moment as you look down at that unemployment check and think, "It's better then nothing." And considering what the unemployment rate is now. You will, believe me.

Now I have been at work since I was fifteen. That is about thirty years of pretty solid job history under my belt. My list of jobs goes on for some time, all of them blue collar, all of them pretty damn hard! Even when I was much younger the thought of taking UC was not so much adherent as "you got to be joking?" I always found a job. I was always an able survivor.

Then I moved to Florida.

GET ME OUT OF THIS HELL HOLE!

This was a mistake. No, it was a huge mistake. It is the reason I like to share my thoughts. My reasons to go online and make money. To be frank, it was my naivety and incompetence that led me to this State. I don't want to blast Florida into the nineteenth century or compare it to a third world nation, other, hotter, angrier voices will do that. Later, I will explain why I did.
Let's consider the only smart thing I did. I left. I packed everything I could into my car and hit the road. Even a month later, I had no regrets.

NEVER BURN YOUR BRIDGES!

Always have family there. You think you might be self-reliant. You need no one to help you through this. Huh! Why not? I suggest that if the tables were reversed that you, too, would be one taking that sibling or even a parent in. In the US, I noticed that self-reliance seems preferable over getting help from your family. Yet, look at the rest of the world. Seas of family choking homes, overflowing. How is this a bad thing if they have a roof over their heads? At least you have that. If you find the life you lead impossible, go! Move in with your obnoxious brother, or debutant sister. Or naturally, your mother, the only one that may understand you. Or failing that, she was always the one who excepted you. Always.

HURRY! RUN FROM LOCAL UNEMPLOYMENT RATES

Why? Simple. When I left Florida in September of 2008, pushing the rpms all the way, the national rate of unemployment was 6.1% By October 2008, it increased to 6.5%. Consider the Florida unemployment rate 6.6%! Well, yah. for the first time in my life I was seriously doing the math, it seemed a good enough reason to leave this State. I knew that the unemployment rate was much lower in states that I was familiar with, States which I had family in. Are you still with me? What I am saying. Survival makes us do what we think is practical. It just seemed practical to leave a State which had lost over a hundred-thousand jobs in 2008. Now lets look at Wisconsin. In September is was 5.O% better, but why not go to Wyoming which is at 3.3%. What in hell are they doing there? And the reason I don't go to Wyoming? No family. If you're getting unemployment from Florida, forget trying find a new place to live. Try keeping the place you have. No, family can stake you out until you get your stuff together.

MONEY ONLINE: WHAT WOULD A NOVICE DO?

Well, I don't exactly now what a novice would do to find a job online. I only know what I did. Just like everyone else. I searched the net for get rich quick money online jobs. Mmmm, clever, eh? Well, that never happened. I did find a job, and if I were to live in Guam, I would be pretty much a money guru.
Well, now that I established myself with my family members of choice. What next? Well, look for a job, duh! But hold on. I have places to go and things to do. I didn't want a full time job. I rather work for myself. And that is what I found.

Mechanical Turk.

Amazons answer to India's sweat shop? Could be. It all depends on how you view your worth. I valued the idea of working when I felt like it. It was such a change from the my blue collar roots. I still laugh as I look at the fourteen cents I made yesterday. But they are my fourteen cents. Its unfortunate that I have to share it with UC. Oh, yah, Not declaring it is a no-no. I don't advocate fraud. Believe me, I would say about 50% people I met in Florida were felons. All had a hard time finding a decent job. So, I do have more to say about Unemployment and making money online.I plan to go on telling you how a beginner wins or loses. It depends of course on how things go in the next few months. Until then, here is hoping you, too, can make money online,Take care.

Courteous Navigator

I SWEAR THAT UNEMPLOYMENT AND MAKING MONEY ONLINE IS NO COUNTER DICTION

Before I infuriate the masses with my prose, I first want to welcome all of you to Gainfully Unemployed While Making Money Online. Here you will find advice not only from a beginner but some that is real, really Unemployed.
